Bias and Prejudice

Everyone has a bias on everything they see.

What is a bias? 

Merriam-Webster Dictionary says Bias is  an inclination of temperament or outlook. Bias is a systematic error introduced into sampling or testing by selecting or encouraging one outcome or answer over others.

How bias affects our understanding of truth and our life?

Examples of bias:

Heresy- everybody says so and everybody thought it must be true. Really?

Science based - if it is based on science, most people thought it must be true. In reality, science is a progress in making by our limited knowledge in limited time and space

Authority based - someone with authority says so which may or may not be true

Common sense - Our common sense is established based on our past life experience but is it reliable?
